Send and Receive Messages

  • Type a message in the text field at the bottom and tap Send .
  • Messages from the remote user appear in the conversation as they are sent.
  • The chat uses a modern message bubble interface for easy reading.

Messages are delivered in real time — there is no delay or polling.

Receive Files

The remote user can share files with you through the chat. When a file is received:

  1. The file appears as a message in the chat conversation, showing the file name and size.
  2. Tap Open to view the file directly on your device.
  3. Tap Share to send the file to another app, save it to Files, AirDrop it, etc.

Notifications

When a new message arrives and the chat panel is closed, a badge notification appears on the Chat button in the toolbar. This ensures you never miss a message from the remote user during a session.

Chat on iPad

On iPad, the chat panel takes advantage of the larger screen, providing a more spacious conversation view.
